Rick Steves' Video Projects with the Lutheran Church
Rick Steves mixes his passion for travel and his faith in this Lutheran (ELCA) Church-produced disk with five very different episodes: Martin Luther and the Reformation, The Footsteps of St. Paul, a look at Church work in Papua New Guinea and south-central Los Angeles, and an interview about all this with Rick. 100% of the $19.95 price of this DVD goes directly to Lutheran World Relief to support helpful projects in the Developing World.
Martin Luther
In September, 2000, Rick Steves spent a week in eastern Germany with a Lutheran video production team making a new "Martin Luther and the Reformation" teaching video. This video was sent to all 11,000 ELCA Lutheran churches for use in adult education and new member classes.

Papua New Guinea
Rick spent a week in September 1997 in Papua New Guinea making a video for the Lutheran church to highlight the Lutheran program of matching church districts — like sister cities — between developed and developing countries, and to help Christians understand that "Love one another" is a command, loud and clear, to think and act globally.
