Rick Steve's Europe Through the Back Door Song
Who knew that our tour members had such talent? The travelers from our Best of Europe, September 2, 2003 tour created a theme song for their tour. Written by Cari Minnamon and Rachel Colwell, these lyrics were sung in Beaune, France at the farewell party for the tour's bus driver, and was performed again at the 2003 Tour Reunion in Edmonds February 7, 2004.

We've been to Venice, Florence and Rome and lots of other places
We all have big fat smiles upon our faces.
We get up very early and have breakfast
And a coffee
Then we all start marching all together

And drinking wine

If we see another stair we're all gonna throw up! HUH
In Amsterdam we saw the Red Light District

Some of us were very tempted to stay the night

As Alice pointed her finger and said "Hey there's one!!"
They were hookers, we were lookers, and we had some fun!!
In Germany we drank a lot of Beera
A lot of Beera
And danced the night away at the Tiki Party

The problem with Germany was there were no damn sheets!!
That is why we said goodbye and went to Italy!

When we arrived in Venice it was raining,
t was raining.
Our hotel smelled a lot like rotten Tuna,
Some rotten Tuna.
We walked around for an hour and then ate some Pizza.
Then drank two carafes of wine and were three sheets to the winda!!!

We all had hangovers from drinking too much wine!
In Florence we saw the Duomo
And lots of paintings by Boticelli

We all got lost at least once!
And felt like a big fat dunce! (Hit hand on head)

Tiramasu was better than the rest
Rainer had us try some tripe
I took a bite and I was white!!
Had to drink two more beers to wash down all that tripe!!
In Rome we saw the Coliseum
And took a walk around the Forum

In the Academia we all saw David!
We all admired him Butt Naked!! (Make curvy motions with hands and squeeze like your pinching some buns)

Bernini did the Trevi Fountain too..
The Sistine Chapel was painted by Michealangelo!
Vernazza is a town in the Cinque Terre
That is where we stayed for the night
For the night
We hiked, and swam and laughed and played until the setting sun!
And then we ate to our hearts content until the day was done!

I was stumbling up the stairs and was falling out of chairs!
The next day I felt like Hell and sat in the front seat!
Off to Switzerland the very nezt morning

We were all getting hungry for some of Herman's fondue! (Rub Belly)

The cows had bells hanging around there neck!
This is Switzerland so we said "What the Heck" (Throw one hand into the air)
And the best part of the trip has been Mark not breaking our neck!!
