Islam in Turkey, and Rome's Jewish Ghetto
After taking listeners' general travel calls and emails, Rick learns about Islam from tour guides Lale and Tan Aran, who live in Istanbul and have written our guidebook to that remarkable city. He then places a call to Rome to chat with a resident of that city's little-known Jewish Ghetto. We'll also hear from a listener who recently returned from a trip to Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula. Then, a little closer to home, we'll get road trip suggestions from guidebook author Jamie Jensen, and callers will highlight some of the Southeast's travel attractions.
