"Colin is articulate and literate, with just enough Scottish wit; he's a natural teacher and a real treasure. We saw him unhesitatingly dive off the rocks at Monemvasia to rescue a floundering swimmer, work hours to get broken A/C on Hydra resolved for us, expertly rearrange ('dip and weave' he said) days' schedules because of extreme heat, and deal with a tour member who injured an ankle. He's a real treasure and everything a really good guide can be."
