Rick Steves' Audio Europe — Free at iTunes

Rick, back in the day, with his trusty clothesline
See Rick's Audio Europe on iTunes.

Over the past five years we've created a wealth of audio content for travelers, ranging from radio interviews to walking tours. Recently we gathered it all up, then sliced, diced and organized it for you by region, and created "Rick Steves' Audio Europe" — available for free at iTunes.

Now it's easier than ever to pack along all the Rick Steves information that best fits your iPod, iTouch or iPhone — and fits your individual trip needs.

For example, imagine you have a trip to Rome coming up. Within moments you can grab to enjoy before and during your trip...

"Rick Steves' Audio Europe" covers the entire Continent this way!

How do I get it? It's easy: (1) If you don't already have iTunes software, install it. (2) Go to the iTunes Store within the iTunes program and enter "Rick Steves" in the search box in the top-right corner. (3) In the Podcasts window, click the "See All" arrow, and all of Rick's podcasts will appear. (4) Look for the ones with the red icon that says "Rick Steves Audio Europe" with an adjacent title identifying the region. (5) To see what's in a regional collection, click on the icon and a list will appear. (6) On this same page you can either "Subscribe" (to download everything in the list into your iTunes podcast folder) or click on "Get Episode" next to any of the individual items (to download only that item to your podcast folder). Voila!

What if I want an App? Stay tuned, the "Rick Steves' Audio Europe" App (which contains the entire Audio Europe library) is coming in May.

What if I don't have any of those i-things? You can stream the same audio files (organized by region) at ricksteves.com.

Do I need the guidebook? These audio files complement the content in my guidebooks, but they also work just great on their own for easy, hands-free touring.

This year completes a mathematically-elegant chain of milestones in our teaching at Europe Through the Back Door...
