This book is great and is extremely readable. I have months of other reading planned before my trip to Italy in October but Europe 101 was a fantastic and enjoyable way to get oriented in space, time, history and art of Europe. This book should be used in high school history classes...there is simply no drudgery involved in reading it. I'm now, at age 57, oriented toward Western civilization in way I never was before. And it has helped to give form and shape to other readings. Highly recommended.

Will you please make materials- maps & guidebook, etc- available electronically? It would be wonderful to be able to load this information on an ipod to lighten the backpack.

Question: Did Europe 101 replace the book, " Rick Steves' Best European Walks and Museums"? My library has this book, but it is not in your store or available at books stores.

I am 67 with a doctorate but no "Art History." This book is outstanding, to say the least!!! I bought it based on my extreme satisfaction with multiple guidebooks of yours.
