I love them and have them for all countries we have visited. I would like to have them as e-books to install on a Nook. Are they available in any e-book format?

Rick, I would like you to rethink your recommendation for Hostel Los Angeles in Salamanca, Spain. As a loyal user of your guidebooks for 20 years, I was surprised at your writeup for that hotel. My husband & I were in Salamanca late March looking for a hotel around Plaza Mayor. As we were walking up the steps toward the reception area to speak to the mgr, 5 or 6 very beautiful & well dressed girls were getting ready to go out. i could see into their rooms & it did not look like a usual tourist room. At the top of the stairs was a well dressed African gentleman giving them last minute directions. I understand Spanish to know what he was saying to them--they were "working girls". When we finally got up to the top of the stairway, the reception room smelled bad...the mgr. Was friendly & spoke good English, but after showing us the rooms, he said that we might like another hotel. Anyway, I really think you should rethink your inclusion of this hotel in your guidebook. Plus the "good" rooms that overlook the Plaza Major were awful. I am sorry that I am late in writing to you, but hopefully you will check this place out again. Otherwise we used the 2010 Spain guidebook & found it very good.

I would love to see your guidebooks turned into a language course with Rosetta Stone! They have a great concept and you have the best language books for travelers. Regards, Randy

Your French Phrasebook was my BIBLE when I went on an exchange trip to France during my second semester of school last year. Long story short; my time abroad was an adventure, characersized by nightmarish instances where I'd often find myself alone, confused, and totally overwhelmed (be it in a French train station, airport, cafe, or shopping centre). However, I kept my copy of your phrasebook on me 24/7 and it definitely paid off. I don't know what I would've done without it!

My sister arrived back at our hotel room in Venice exhibiting the signs and symptoms of a stroke. As a former paramedic, I could not convey the seriousness of the situation to the front desk. Fortunately, I was able to access Google Translate on the internet and was able to relay that through the front desk to the paramedics (who arrived by boat. I was also able to prepare a translation of her recent medical history. (The medics spoke very little English).

We were very impressed with the emergency health care system in Italy - and it was totally free!
