Fun for Teens in Europe: 2002
Summer is for hometown parties and hanging out with friends - payback for a year of hard study in school. But Mom and Dad want to go to Europe! How can a teen stuck in Europe with his family have fun? Try screaming on the "white knuckle rides" of Blackpool, England; mountain biking in the Alps, playing pool and darts in Irish pubs where minors are welcome to be part of the scene, etc. Share your favorite teen activities and sights in Europe.
Munich Bike Tours
If you're in Munich, be sure to check out Mike's Bike Tours (www.mikesbiketours.com).
I lead tours of teenagers through Germany every summer, and though I've
done this tour several times, it always provides new information, is not
at all strenuous, and most of all is lots of fun. Students always rave about
this tour as one of the highlights.

Tips For Teens in Spain
Try Salamanca, Spain! This university city is awesome for adults and teens
alike. The kids will absolute go crazy over the Plaza Major at night after
10:00. There are people young and old from all over the world milling about
and partying as only the Spanish do. My 15 year old son and his cousin still
remember it as the highlight of a three week vacation.
For the adults: if you're coming into Spain from Portugal (north central
area) be sure to stop at Ciudad Rodrigo - an absolutely fabulous medieval
town that is off the typical tourist path.
