Power outlets in UK car rentals

Weird question: We're bring our own Garmin GPS to use for our month in England. We have a new 2013 SD card for the UK.

Will our own Garmin GPS car charger work in UK rental cars? Do they have the same type/power outlets as the cars in the USA?

I'm sorry this sounds so stupid, I just didn't know where to ask about it!!

Yes. We used our daughter's Garmin to get around western England last summer and Normandy the summer before. If you want a scenic trip, try setting it on "bicycle" instead of "car". We did that for a few days before figuring out how it works. Talk about "Europe through the back door"!

Yes, it will work. 12V DC is 12V anywhere.
