....and after Nice????
We are planning to do Rick's Provence trip that ends in Nice. What are some suggestions of things we might do after the tour if we had 3-4 extra days?

It would depend on where you need to travel to to fly out. You're within an easy distance of Cinque Terre or maybe the Berner Oberland. But if you are returning to Paris to fly out, this may not be reasonable.
From Nice, you can take an overnight train and wake-up in Florence. You can even take a short train ride from there and spend a half day quick tour of Pisa (not enough time to go up the tower).

Spend a couple of days in Villefranche sur Mer just down the road from Nice. Enjoy the Riviera.

Isailtheseas - Didn't think about cruise ships stopping in Villefranche. I would have assumed they would dock in Monte Carlo. How frequently do cruise ships port in Villefranche?
