1/2 day Tuscany wine tour
Any recommendations of good tour companies for this? Home base will be Florence Apr 9-11 (Wed aft to Sat aft.)

I found this tour recommended in an Italian magazine. I have emailed them and they are very accommodating. They have a tour out of Florence and out of Siena. They are full day tours, though. http://www.winestation.it./
Four of us took our first European trip last year and were in Florence for 4 days. As a result of a RS post, we hired a driver "Guido" at Tuscany in my pocket". We absolutely loved it. Guido is a native of Florence, speaks English well and has a wealth of knowledge. He took us to several hill towns where there were no other tourists or buses. We had lunch at a great winery overlooking the region - toured the American Cemetary and he did all the driving. If you are interested you can search for Guido on the internet. It was a little pricey, around 450 euros for the day but we all thought well worth it.
