Staying in a Castle in Scotland

My wife and i are going to visit Edinburgh and Glasgow next spring. Are there any castles in the area in which we could spend at least one night? Thanks

You might want to explore this web site.http://www.celticcastles.com/find_scottish.asp I stayed at Stonefield Castle just after 9/11 and found them very welcoming. It's a ways from Glasgow however in Argyle. There are others listed. A lot of times the rate includes dinner.

Borthwick Castle south of Edinburgh is absolutely lovely. I stayed there on the night of my birthday. You can go for dinner only or you can do dinner (5 or 7 courses I think) and stay the night. Mary, Queen of Scots stayed there as well. After they stuff you full of food, there's a castle tour. There is an Earl of Bothwell room and MQOS room. They are private rooms - you can stay in them, though. They are not in the tour (as people stay in them) but I was lucky enough to see the MQOS room the next morning after they checked out.

If you are a fan of the Da Vinci Code you should try Rosslyn Castle. They permit overnight guests although I'm not sure of the cost. It is about 15 minutes south of Edinburgh.
