Rail Passes

I thought all Eurorail passes were for First class. I am checking into Saver passes..2 countries. They offer first and second class accommadation. If I get a second class pass, can I use it on the high speed trains? Is it worth while to save a little money for second class? Thanks, Kate

If the high speed train has 2nd class accommodations, and I think most do, then you can use it. However, many high speed trains (eg, Thalys) require "reservations" or passholder supplementary fees.

I can't speak for all countries, but I would never pay the additional for 1st class in Germany.

Yes, second class passes work on the high-speed trains, and in fact their second-class seating is really nice. You do have to pay the supplement, but you would have to pay it if you bought the first-class version as well, so really, there is no reason to pay the extra. In short, definately go for the second class.
