Here's a great site I use in Europe to find who flies to where - only looks for low-cost carriers: www.flycheapo.com/flights/search/

Another good Euro search engine is: www.europebyair.com/efp/index.jsp

Ryanair flies from Venice (Treviso) to Rome (Ciampino).

AirOne flies from Venice (Marco Polo) to Rome (Fiumicino)

AirOne flies from Rome (Fiumicino)to Milan (Linate)

Ryanair flies from Rome (Ciampino) to Milan (Orio al Serio).

Meridiana flies from Rome (Fiumicino) to Milan (Linate).

Have you considered the train? From Venice to Rome is only 4.5 hours by Eurostar? Good luck on your search!

Fernando, Ron has the big hint. Take the train. By the time you get from Venice out to the airport, check-in and wait for your plane, your train is already in Florence. From Florence to Rome is 1hr.43min. You would be in Rome faster than coming in from Fiumicino. Same from Rome to Milan. You'll be there by high-speed Eurostar a bit faster than trips to and from the airports, time to go through security and time for the flight itself.

Thanks I was under the impression that the trip in train would take 6+ hours..but since it's 4.5 I would probably want to take the train.

How long from Rome to Milan in train? Should I buy a pass since I would be using the train from England to Paries earlier on my trip?

thanks a lot for your tips.

The trip from Rome to Milan takes 4.5hrs. No train changes but the train stops in Florence and Bologna. The fare is 56Euro. You really don't need a pass for Italy. If you have a railpass for Italy, you will pay a seat reservation fee of 18Euro per trip. P2P is less expensive for the trips that you have identified.
