Best way to get from London to Amsterdam?

I will be traveling with 4 kids (18, 15, 8 & 4) - they are all veteran travelors. What is the best way to get from London to Amsterdam? Fly, train, ferry. I am trying to find something economical, fun and somewhat hassle free, if that exists.

The most efficient and cheapest way is to fly. Easyjet does the route from the various London airports. Even though its a bit more expensive, use their flights from Gatwick as its easiest to reach Gatwick by train from Victoria Station.

I haven't done it yet, but I will be taking the rail and sail package in a few weeks.

Hey, So National Express sells tickets from london to amsterdam. They are usually 40 pounds ($80) round trip for an adult. The only bad thing is that the trip takes ~10hrs but they have a lot of overnight trips.
