Park and Ride for Circumvesuvia

We're driving from the North of Naples and we're looking for a place we can park our car to take the circumvesuvia to Pompeii and Naples. Someplace outside of Naples. We're wondering if we can just pick a town along the route and find a place to park for the day. Suggestions?

The trouble if you're coming from the north is that Pompeii and the Circumvesuviana are south of Naples. That said, I'd park at Pompeii and take the train to and from Naples.

The Circumvesuviana only travels south from central Naples. If you want to park in a town north, you'd need to take a regional train into Naples and switch to the Circumvesuviana. Stations in smaller towns probably have free or inexpensive parking nearby. Doug's suggestion to drive to Pompeii and park there is well worth considering.
