how do i get to paris charles degualle airport from downtown paris? details appreciated.

Hi Mary, There are several options for getting to CDG from downtown Paris. For details, pick up Rick's Paris guidebook: 1. Taxi--most expensive way (plan on 60-80 Euros), but also most direct 2. Airport Busses--I've taken the Roissy bus from Opera Garnier and found it very easy, much less crowded than the RER and cheap (9 Euros) 3. RER train runs through downtown Paris and out to the Airport--a little quicker than the bus, but more crowded (8 euros) 4. Airport Shuttle--Rick recommends Golden Air (20-30 Euros)
If you are returning a rental car, save yourself a hassle beforehand and find out from which terminal your flight leaves. Unlike most American airports, CDG has a seperate rental car return lot for each terminal, and the road signs do not list which airlines operate in each terminal either.
