Zurich airport to Interlaken by train
Is it possible to catch a train from the Zurich airport that goes to Interlaken? I know there is certainly one to downtown Zurich but would like to avoid that if possible.

Yes, there are direct trains from Zurich Airport to Interlaken. In fact, all of the trains that go from downtown Zurich are coming from the airport; thus they are the same trains. It can sometimes be faster to take a train to Bern, and change trains there to Interlaken.

Actually, although it looks like some regional routes (much slower, more changes of trains) don't go through downtown Zürich (HB), it looks like the fastest routes go through the Hauptbahnhof (and Bern). However, in most cases Zürich is just a stop; you don't have to change trains there.

So are you saying to ride into Zurich but stay on the train and keep going to Interlaken?
Lee was saying the same thing I said: all direct IC Interlaken bound trains from the airport make stops at Zurich HB station en route to Interlaken.
