Accomodations in Rome

We will be traveling through Europe by car in June. We would like to stay just outside Rome in an inexpensive hotel or B&B that allows for parking. Does anyone know of a place that would also be relatively accessable to a train station that would take us into Rome?

try www.accorhotels.com. they have a great website for diff quality level hotels all over Europe, and you can reserve effortlessly on the web.

My husband and I took Rick Steve's advice and stayed in Orvieto, north of Rome and we left our car parked for free behind the train station. When we were ready to go to Rome we just got on one of their 19 trains per day that go to Rome. We were in Rome within the hour and after two nights in Rome we took the train back to Orvieto and our car was still in the parking lot and we were able to continue our trip by car. It was so easy and Orvieto is a great hill town to visit, too.

We used venere.com in the past...it offers a variety of accomodations. And the maps! michelien (sp)maps will let you zoom down in great detail on local streets and roads.
