GUIDED TOURS — ROME, FLORENCE & VENICE

Some guided tours quote prices that do not include entrance to the site. Do this mean that we have to make our own reservation/buy our own ticket in advance to the site and then join up with the guided tour there? Do they help with this or are we on our own? I want to be prepared so any help you can give me on this would be appreciated.

No not from my experience. Have just returned from Rome and did a Vatican tour where the entrance was extra. I joined the tour and when we got inside we all purchased our tickets and went through the turnstiles to continue the tour. I would think that it would be for most/all tours.
