Any suggestions on a B&B or (other accomodation0in this northern English city? Didn't see a reference in the Rick Steves England 2007....

The County Hotel in Carlisle at 9 Botchergate always used to be a decent place to stay. I haven't been there for a few years but It might be worth considering.
