Where in Knoxville, Tn can you convert left over Euros to US Dollars?

Where in Knoxville, Tn can you convert left over Euros to US Dollars? My bank doesn't convert foreign currency. Which place charges the smallest fee to convert foreign currency.

Try another bank. I think that's your only option.

How much currency are you talking about?

If its a small amount, it will pay to save it safe until your next trip. Who knows the exchange rate may be awful for the dollar later on so your Euros will be worth more.

But if you really need the money in USD, try a branch of a big bank like Bank of America, Chase, Sun Trust Bank, etc. This will cost you a lot in conversion fees. But if its just $100 or so, save it for your next trip since you'll be eaten up in fees!

Maybe you could find a buyer on Craig's List.

It will be very difficult if not impossible to convert back at bank. Some Am Express offices will buy currency but at a deep discount. As Norma suggested Craigs List or post it on this sight. I sold my excess Euro to a poster on this board. Sold at the current exchange rate for the day -- good deal for both of us.

Are you planning on taking any domestic flights soon? If you are passing through a larger international airport here in the US you can wait and exchange it at the Travelex desk.

Why bother? Don't you think you'll ever go back to Europe? Stash your leftover Euros with your passport or someplace else with your travel stuff. Next time you go, just bring them with you.

You already paid something to convert money into Euros, why pay again to convert them back? You're just going to pay again (someday) to convert dollars to Euros for your next trip...

I agree with the previous poster. Save your euros and plan for using them on your next trip. You have already paid for the conversion and you may lose more by converting back to USD.
