Thread about Eurostar to Paris

Am I going blind, or has that thread disappeared?

I believe someone mentioned going to the Eurostar site and purchasing tickets, using a UK address? Was coming back to check on that.

Its gone!

Quickly, you go to Eurostar.com say you live in the UK and will collect your tickets at the station. Not by mail. Cheaper than RailEurope.com.

Hey Eli, There's a thread about that in the 'To the North' section. I bought my tickets a few weeks ago and used my home address but paid for it in pounds instead of US dollars. I paid less than $100 for it. There is an option to pick it up at the station or print the E-tickets from home.

The first time you visited www.eurostar.com, you should have been asked to select a country of residence. Assuming you selected the US, you will be taken to the US version of the site each time you log on. To register as a resident of the UK, first clear the Eurostar cookies from your Web browser. (You can do a search for just those cookies and delete them individually or you simply can delete all your cookies.) Then go to the Eurostar site and register as a resident of the UK. You will not be asked to provide a UK address.

Thanks for the repeat info.

Now why the heck did that other thread disappear? I spent ages looking for it, thinking I was going blind or senile! And at an age when that should not be happening too, LOL

We bought the tickets (London St. Pancras to Gare du Nord Paris) as soon as they were available (+/-130 days?) and printed them at home for 51GBP per person. No need to use UK address! We may have gotten a senior rate also. Happy Travels.

I just did that trip a little over a week ago. Two months before my trip, I went into Eurostar's site to buy my ticket. It cost me $100 a round trip from London. I printed my ticket online, and it was so easy!I didn't need a UK address! Check in went very smoothly at the station. What a great trip I had! The people in Paris were very friendly!!
