Left Luggage at Paddington

Does anyone have experience with this? I wanted to leave my bags there while I visit London for a few hours before I hop on the Heathrow Express to go to the airport. Is it safe and secure? Thank you!

Left Luggage is a secure place where you can leave items of luggage for collection later. This is located on platform 12 and all items will be scanned before acceptance. Be prepared to wait in line whilst the bomb-sniffing machine checks all the bags before deposit. Safe? yes, secure?, very, easy?, not exactly because of the line.

Also to save some money on you trip back to Heathrow, take the Heathrow CONNECT from Paddington, less money, slightly longer ride (like 15 min more).

Are you saying it isn't easy because of the wait? Do you remember about how much it costs/bag?

The minimum price is 8 GBP/bag for up to 24 hours.

If you don't mind a longer ride to Heathrow (40-60 minutes) on a National Express coach (highway bus), leave your luggage at Victoria coach station which is a few blocks south of Victoria train station. The price there is 2 GBP/bag for up to two hours and 3.50 GBP/bag for 2-24 hours. Take a National Express coach directly to Heathrow for 5.50 GBP. For timetables and fares go to www.nationalexpress.com.
