Eh. Back in 1999 BA was flying from PHL to LGW for $199 Round trip. Wake me when those fares show up.
Sure wish those deals would fit in to my plans. My daughter works in the school system in Nursing Administration and can only get the summers off. I have been watching the fares to Lisbon and out of FCO for a couple of weeks now.
Steve, it is not as low as advertised. Note the asterisks state that these are fares before taxes and fees. The SFO-MAD advertised flight at $243 one-way came to $703 roundtrip in two trial bookings made midweek in Jan. and March.
$700 is what I paid for an open-jaw flight from my hometown of Knoxville for June 2010.
Knoxville->Venice Zurich->Knoxville
That $700 also includes all taxes so I don't think these fares are too "fantastic". Yes, they are probably good, but definitely not great.
