I was there last March, could be cold, could rain, could be beautiful. We had all three in one week.

This is the best weather site for getting at least a rough idea for weather, you input your location and the time frame (up to 2 weeks) of your visit and it returns nicely summarized stats of the last ten years actual weather.

Like Steve said, I've also been to the UK in March. We had some beautiful days, had a couple cold days and one with rain. You never know in March.

By March you're getting over 10 hours of daylight each day so you really only need to consider the temperature and precipitation and both of those really vary. ; ) Here's the link for sunrise/sunset. http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=304&month=3&year=2010&obj=sun&afl=-11&day=1

London is usually pretty mild throughout the year, and rarely very cold in March. Last time I was there in March, the weather varied from highs in the low 60s to lows in the 40s and high 30s at night. Expect some rain, but it usually isn't heavy.

I have not been to Scotland at that time of year, but I would probably expect temperatures to be quite a bit cooler and windier. And of course, rain at some point.
