Go to Fatima from Lisbon
Hi All, I plan to take a day trip from Lisbon to Fatima during the mong of July-2010. Would anybody have done this before to give me some advices: 1. Is it better to stay overbight in Fatima, or just a day trip from Lisbon will be enough? 2. How and what transportation mode (bus or train), and its cost for me to get from Lisbon to Fatima?

Fatima is a fair distance from Lisbon so it would be a very long day. we drove. Realize Fatima is very busy with pilgrims and can take many hours of standing in line espec. in summer. Depending on what you wish to do there may determine if you stay overnight. there are alot of hotels within walking distance but a reservation far in advance is a must. Bus tours book hotels up quickly. we spent the whole day and it was shoulder season.

Thank you for your reply. Do you think we should book one-night hotel in Fatima? In addition, should we take bus or train, or takeing a a tour bus? Please advice.
