skiing torino
I am thinking about nixing the alps on my trip and just going straight from paris to torino to ski. I am going in April and was wondering if anyone has gone there to ski around that time. I just figure it would be easier then getting to some of the destinations like Chamonix or Zermatt.
The Torino website hasn't been to helpful unless i have been just looking in the wrong place.

Chamonix or Zermatt is easily reachable by train as is Torino (Turin) but remember Turin is the city and the mountain is a different place.
Depending on what time in April you are going to ski- A few years ago I wanted to go to Zermatt around the end of April - I got a reply from one of the Hotels that a lot of them close down around this time for vacation and before the hiking season starts. There is snow higher up but probably you should check this out first.
