Hotel Bretagna in Florence
I would like to get feedback on the 2 star hotel called Hotel Bretagna located in Florence right off the Arno River. I'm wondering if mosquitos will be an issue. Looks like a lovely place for a good price.

Mosquitoes are always an issue in Florence - even in the winter(although it is generally better than the summer)! If the rooms have screens you will be better off - but I don't think being on the river, or a few blocks away makes much of a difference. The river moves pretty well - the mosquitoes seem to come heavier after rains - when there is stagnant/still water around.
Brenda I was looking at this place on the web - the prices are really good. I know the street, know the building from the outside - but can't say how the rooms are. But for the combination of price, location, and view it sounds amazing.
Thank you both for your insight. I might just buy some repellant in Florence if it becomes a problem. Give me an excuse to go to a pharmacy.
