Flying from Granada or Malaga, Spain, to Istanbul
Has anyone flown from Granada or Malaga airports to Istanbul? I was researching flights for next spring, and although it would be about a three-hour flight, couldn't find a reasonably priced, relatively direct flight (flights go through Madrid or elsewhere and are pricey). Getting from Granada to Madrid by train doesn't seem that easy either... Would appreciate any advice... Thank you!

Hi Andrew,
I empathize with you--I haven't made the flight but looked on www.whichbudget to see options--it's a tough connection to make. I'd look at an interim city to fly to, then spend a night or two, and fly to Istanbul from there. Just a thought...good luck!
You will have to go through somewhere else to get to Istanbul. You can have short and expensive, or very inexpensive and longer.
For example Easyjet flys from London to Istanbul from 31.99 GPB. You can fly to London from Malaga for as little as 15.49 €. It will take longer, but be a lot cheaper.
You can find several different ways to do this using flycheapo.com pick a city to change planes in, London or Dublin perhaps being the lowest cost and fly cheaply.
Or, just use the "bigs" like Spanair and Turkish Airlines, change in Barcelona and pay $1500+ and take about five hours.
