Long Term Apartment Rentals - Paris

I am currently studying in Reims, France and will be moving to Paris in mid-February to start my internship. What is the best way to find apartments in Paris? I will need an apartment for 6 months.

Thanks!

I'd start by Googling your title -- long term apartment rentals in Paris. parisstays.com shows long-term rentals. Am not familiar with any LT rental sites, but the Google search can get you started.

I have a terrific site for short term rentals, but many of the owners will give you a discount for long stays.

Try airbnb.com and search Paris. Or just get a flat for a couple of days with airbnb.com and then go around an search for your favorite place to live in Paris.

Fun!

Hi Kate,

I have friends who've had success with lodgis.com, which allows you to search by arrondissement, square footage, furnished, price, etc. It's probably more expensive than renting direct from an owner, but it's nice to have an agency as backup.

However, I've also heard that nothing beats connecting with a local realtor if you have the time to go to Paris and do some face-to-face research.

Good luck!

Kate: I know someone who lives in Reims but who has an apartment in Paris which she may be willing to rent. Send me a PM if you are interested and I can give you her e-mail.
