Sicily---affordable places to stay

We will be traveling in Sicily in July of 2010 and are looking for inexpensive places to stay in Marsala, Agrigento, and either Catania or Taormina. We are open to B/B's, pensions, or youth hostels. Any help would be much appreciated. Also, if anyone has any helpful hints of places that we definitely should see and those that are not worth seeing, that would be appreciated also.

I can tell you of 3 places we stayed in 2006, and bear in mind that the rates are 3 years old.

Catania: Hotel Etna 316 (hoteletna316catania.com) Nice big room, breakfast included 90 euro for a double

Taormina: Hotel Elios Large room with small balcony, rooftop deck with view of Mt. Etna (www.elioshotel.com) Breakfast included 70 euro

Agrigento: Hotel Akragas (www,hotelakragas.net) I don't seem to have the room rate noted but it would have been about 80 euro, I think. Nice restaurant in this hotel, too.

Darleen, your post accidentally appeared under Eastern Europe; move it to Italy.

The places I most enjoy in Sicily are Taormina, Siracusa, Piazza Armerina (to see Villa Romana), Agrigento, Selinunte, Erice, Segesta, and Palermo. Feel free to write with any specific questions.
