weather in Turkey end of March

We're planning a trip the end of March to Turkey and just wonder if anyone who's been there then can tell me what their weather was like. I saw the statistics and was surprised to see quite a few days of rain are common. Thank you. Caro

Turkey is a large country; where specifically are you going? Weather improves dramatically on the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts. By early April, normal conditions are similar to those of summer.

Beginning in Istanbul, Ankara, Cappadocia, south to Antalya and up the west coast back to Istanbul by mid April. I expect cold on the plateau.

Is there a reason why you are going clockwise around Turkey? Going first to the Aegean and Antalya and later to Cappadocia might mean that your time there is more likely to be pleasant. A marginal matter, but that's how I would plan it.

By the way, Turkey is the birthplace of tulips, and there are lovely plaintings in Istanbul that should be at peak condition while you are there.

Istanbul - high 56, low 43, mostly cloudy w/ fog, 40% chance of rain.

Ankara - high 57, low 35, mostly cloudy, 30% chance or rain.

Antalya - high 66, low 48, partly cloudy, 10% chance of rain.

Thank you. I think going in the opposite direction would be a good consideration...I don't mind cool weather, but not so much the rain! Maybe I'll rethink plans.
