Check online at europebycar.com to get quotes for any type of car you want. They provide both rent and leasing services, so you can compare between the two. For rentals they book you with the big agencies like Avis and Eurocar, and the leases are usually Renaults. For five you'll need a large one. A big Mercedes would be nice!

For five weeks leasing a car probably will be cheaper than renting one. See Renault Eurodrive and Peugeot Open Europe through Auto Europe.

Also check Auto Europe's regular rental program.

I used the buy back program through Autoeurope and it was great! We always had at least 4 people in the vehicle, so we rented a minivan. The price is all inclusive (no hidden fees) and no surcharges if you are picking up and dropping off in France. They pick you up at the airport and transport you to your new vehicle. For the period of time you need the car it will save you a lot of money to lease, rather than rent.

Lesley, we have used renault eurodrive, we had a great experience, and would use them again, you will save a lot of money vs rent and you will get a new car with full coverage and road assistance. You can get a estimate on their website.

We leased a Renault. Picked up in A'dam and dropped in Rome. It was a great deal for us. If you pick up and drop off in France, it's even a better deal.

Peugeot also leases, we went with Renault because it had the best car for us but you should check out both to see which one works for you.

Hi Lesley, I have leased from Renault Eurodrive many times and I have found them to be very reliable. You will get a brand new car with 100% insurance; no extras, no suprises, no problems. We pick up our car in Paris and return it at CDG. The return lot is a three minute walk to Ibis, where we stay the night before our early flight to San Francisco. Start your lease paperwork at least one month before you leave.
