British Airways Sale

British Airways is publicizing a sale (supposedly fare sale they haven't promoted in years) - $229 each way to London(travel before March 28). Is this really a good fare for British Airways or is this something you see frequently?

And now I see (having never traveled British Airways before) that when you add the taxes on, it's not as cheap as you think.

Welcome to the world of advertising fares without all the taxes, this is common, and the $200 or so one way (plus tax) for this time of year is common, and actually not a bad deal. Now if it was $600 round trip with all the taxes, then I'd really take notice. And I have seen it that low sometimes.

I just bought two round-trip tickets on British Airways from Washington to London for $644 each. When my wife and I flew BA on the same route in September, the cost was $724 each. Upgrading to "World Traveler Plus" for our upcoming trip was another $139....up from $129 in September. If anyone wants to get in on this sale, you better do it today. The sale ends at midnight tonight.

British Airways is a good one. We are in California, too. I think that is a good fare. Go for it.
