Looking for an economic option for a family of 5 (mom, dad, and 3 teenagers 14-17) in Paris for a 2 night stay in June of 2010. Any suggestions?? Thanks!

I agree that an apartment rental is probably the best way to go - if you can find someone to rent to you for 2 days. Try vrbo.com (vacation rental by owner).

we stayed at Hotel Marigan, i think that's how it's spelled. Two teenage daughters and an 8 year old daughter. It was pretty inexpensive for Paris and in a very good location. There are reviews of the place on Ricks blogs. Not fancy but 5 in a room and a private path and fairly clean.

Thanks for the info . I did find a possibility at vrbo.com and the hotel Jeff recommended may work just perfectly! Thanks again

With only two nights, an apt. is probably not feasible. You might find one that rents for 3 nights, that might work.

Try looking at Etap and Ibis Hotels. They sleep 3 per room and are insuite. They charge per room, not per person, as does some hotels. They are a part of the Accor Hotel chain. See: http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/usa/index.shtml

Apartment rental will be a good choice. I used www.beau-paris.com a couple of times and recommend the site.
