It has to be an unlocked GSM "Quadband" phone if you want to use it anywhere in the world so be sure that's what you're buying. You can buy a basic one online all day for less than $100. Check with eBay, Tigerdirect.com, Geeks.com, Overstock.com, Amazon.com, Buy.com, Compusa.com and Jr.com.
