Hotel Empress Zoe - Istanbul

Rick's Istanbul guidebook mentions the Hotel Empress Zoe. I have read in other sources that there is/was construction near the hotel. Has the construction stopped?

Has anyone stayed there lately? How is it?

I was there in April/May of this year at the Zoe...there may have been construction but I didn't hear a thing! The only sound that is distinctive is the prayers from the mosque across the street but I think that added to the experience. A great hotel; excellent staff and breakfast. Easy walking distance to Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque. Say hi to Bobby the cat...he was my buddy!

Go to www.tripadvisor.com and see if anyone else mentions construction in the reviews for this hotel.

We stayed there in October. I don't recall any construction. We had no trouble coming and going. Enjoy - what a fabulous hotel! We loved it!
