2 gals in Ireland

I need travel help for dummies. Simple plan is becoming complex planning -- arrive in London, spend a few days, then do Ireland for ??? how long is too long? Or use the 2 weeks to see more of Europe for the same cost? No tours...we want freedom of travel but not be rushed. Anybody out there with a Plan I can steal?

You can keep busy for two to three weeks in Ireland. You need a week to ten days at an absolute minimum. Your total amount of time doesn't allow for too much hopping around without being rushed. Maybe London - Paris or London - Paris - Amsterdam (for a couple of days only) to minimize transit times.

Are you planning to rent a car? You'll probably need one in Ireland if you are not doing a tour. Have you treaveled in England? You'll have more than enough to do with your time and public transportation is good. What do you want to see in Ireland?
