Preferences, Europe in the spring or in the fall

For those of you who have been to Europe in the Spring and in the Fall, Which do you prefer and why? Thanks so very much for your responses in advance !!!!

Europe is a large continent with widely varied climates. I think you will get better answers if you specify which countries you are interested in. There are also quite a few threads on just this topic here in the forums.

Just speaking about Germany, I like both Spring and Fall, but you will get more daylight in the Spring and the flowers are gorgeous. The Netherlands are stunning this time of year too, as is France and probably many other countries.

I prefer Fall travel. It is very much like So Cal weather, where I live. Italy, Spain, Greece etc are always warmer than France, England and Amsterdam, etc., whatever time of year you travel. I have had warmer temps in London in Mrach than say July. So there are exceptions to every rule.

Like Jo said, it depends on what you're going for. In the Spring, things are blooming, which is just gorgeous. In the Fall, you've got harvest-related things, like wine festivals.
