Greece for 5 nights
My wife and I are flying into Athens from Rome on August 4th and leaving from there on August 9th. From what I gather, Athens is not a place needing 5 nights, so I was thinking about another island for the first 3 nights and then back to Athens for the last two. Any suggestions where we should head. Just got Rick's guidebook, but haven't had a chance to look at it.

Warren, my advice would be to pick up a car and spend your three days seeing the Peloponnese before returning to Athens. RS book has some good suggestions on places to visit- Nafplio, Mycenae, Epidavros. He doesn't mention Corinth although it is well worth seeing. It would be great if you could work in Delphi and Olympia, but that would be pushing it with only three days.
