view from the top of tower bridge
Has anyone been to the top? My friend and I will be in London on October and she's a bit aftaid of heights and thinks the Eye might be too much for her. I've been on the Eye and don't really care to go again. Is the tower bridge a good idea?

A tour of the bridge takes you up to the top span which you walk across to the other side - it's quite safe & not scarey at all. The bridge itself is definitely worth seeing - the view isn't all that special. Anyone afraid of heights should not go on the Eye.
