Attractions in Murren
One of the post from Chris mentioned 5 attractions in Murren. He mentioned First Flyer and Rosti at Winteregg? I am not sure what that is. Thanks

Sally, i posted my top 5 tourism attractions in the region not just in Murren but to answer your question - First Flyer is situated at First (above Grindelwald) and the best Rostis in the region are at Winteregg( stop before Murren coming from Grutschalp)
You must get a hiking trail map when here and do some trails in and around Murren, some short and long excellent trails with fantastic views.....and thats FREE !!

Winteregg is a little restaurant along the path (and the train route) between Grutschalp and Mürren. You can ride the train to Mürren to check in and drop your luggage, but it is well worth the walk back along the level path for wonderful views across the valley to the peaks across the way.
If you don't make it to Winteregg, the Stägerstübli right in Mürren serves good Rösti as well.
The Firstbahn gondola leaves from the village of Grindelwald. If you are going up the Jungfraujoch, you can make a nice full day by getting an early start on that, then from Kleine Scheidegg drop down to Grindelwald insted of returning to Wengen and Lauterbrunnen. In Grindelwald, walk through the pedestrian zone and continue along the main street where you'll find the First valley station. Ride the gondola up (it takes almost 30 minutes) to the top where there is a gorgeous view across to the Wetterhorn and other major peaks of the area. It is a short walk from there to the Bachalpsee, a lake with reflections of the peaks across the valley---one of the most-photographed spots in Switzerland. Just don't miss the last gondola down--it stops running fairly early, like 5:30 or 6 pm.
From Grindelwald there is a shorter way back (by train) to Lauterbrunnen (via Wilderswil) and back up to Mürren.
This will be a very expensive day (largely because of the Jungfraujoch trip) if you don't have a pass of some kind.

I was looking at train routes between Muerren and Lucerne this a.m. and noticed "Winteregg" as part of the route. Here's is the info I found: Winteregg is a train-station , about half-way between Gruetschalp and Muerren and it makes a perfect place for a hike, because all of that area is almost flat and you always see the famous group of mountains : Eiger, Moench, Jungfrau from a quite short distance. In Winteregg you will also find a good restaurant with a great panorama-terrace !! In order to get to Winteregg, you simply have to take the cable-car from Lauterbrunnen to Gruetschalp / Gruetschalp. There you change to the train going to Muerren, or you start hiking. Winteregg is about 50 minutes to walk from Gruetschalp. Have fun on your trip!
Chris---right. I didn't look that closely. I thought you were referring to the view from First when you posted the photo. I've changed my post accordingly.
Thanks for all the feedback and answers. I printed it out and will for sure bring it with me on my trip this July. This is in reference for the specific route for the attractions.
That "First Flyer" ride looks fun. Pardon my ignorance, I looked at the link above but am not clear on some of the details.
It looks like the cost is CHF 57 for an adult. Would this be for single ride down the wire?
