In the Berner Oberland region there are two large camp sites just outside of Lauterbrunnen: Camping Jungfrau and Schutzenbach Campground. Rick has a good decription of them in his Switzerland Guidebook.

I suggest you stay in hostels in Switzerland. Do a search for "hostel Zurich" and other towns. You will find a lot of cheap, neat, clean places to stay ; some have private rooms for 2 to 6 persons with bath.

In the Lauterbrunnen Valley area there is a village called Gimmelwald (http://www.gimmelwald.ch/) and the Mountain Hostel. Wonderful views. Also try the Chalet Fontana in Muerren which sits just above Gimmelwald. (chaletfontana@muerren.ch)
