Lake Como Restaurant
Last time we were at Lake Como we heard about a great restaurant on an island. You have to take a water taxi there and reserve a ride home as the meal runs late. The seating is limited and the cost is somewhat expensive. Does anyone know the name of that restaurant and how to contact them for a reservation?

That's a fine restuarant, but here's one that cannot be beat. "La Punta" , the point, a 10 minute walk around to the left side of Bellagio as you step off the ferry and look at town. The chef's brother catches all the fish in the AM that you will eat that day. The setting at lunch is unbelievable, looking straight out at the Alps and the town of Varenna and in the PM it is magical. Don't miss this wonderful restaurant. We were just there and would have happily eaten there daily!

I enjoyed the restaurant at Hotel Florence more than La Punta, but both are terrific. You should pop by in the afternoon (same day) and make a reservation as they hold the best tables that way. If you just show up you might get the second row from the waterfront. We got the best tables by doing this.
Yes In my Knowledge there is one names Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni Bellagio 'is oldest one and only 5 star luxury hotel in Bellagio. Comacina is the only one I can think of.
The best restaurants are probably in Lecco though, on the southeastern branch of the lake.
And it shouldn't be a surprise when a city is called 'Lecco' (I lick)
