Ah, so many things to say...all of them unprintable.

This is the real reason Mom warns you to wear clean, presentable underwear; you just never know when you might stumble upon a No Pants Day in Istanbul. All of you peeps packing old undies for your trips and throwing them away before flying home - Stop It Now!

Methinks No Pants on a winter's day in New York would involve l-o-n-g underwear for me!

(love the snazzily-dressed father and son!)

You're very welcome Ron; glad you enjoyed it! Some of the best and cheapest entertainment in NYC can be found on the subway:

Using the same heading, but slightly different topic, from Mr. Steves' blog:

"I've always said shorts and jeans are a problem. That has changed."

For those Ricniks who just don't believe the rest of us that people where shorts in Europe- THERE! Even your master has said it.

Ah, but in Italy do they wear the parka, hat, gloves and scarf? ; ). If you read a bit or watch the video from the first ride you'll see that part of the gig was the incongruity of no pants on the bottom and woolens on top.

I too loved the best dressed father and son!

Thanks for posting. Now, I am prepared in case I'm in town next year!

Now I can pack even lighter. :)

Seriously though, I've seen it said many times on this site, "Wear what you will be comfortable in." Maybe it needs a caveat, "but won't make those around you uncomfortable."

The photo of the US Army guy with his pants off is likely to get him in trouble. He's violating uniform requirements (although maybe wearing pants isn't in writing - yet). If he wanted to go pants off, he should have worn civilian clothes and put his uniform on at work.
