Best photo editing app for IPad?

I'm taking my DLSR and iPad to Italy this year. I'd like to upload, edit, post pics throughout my trip (I have the connection kit). If anyone else has done this, what app did you use to edit before uploading?

Check out 'PhotoToaster' on ITunes. Works fine on my IPad2.

If your trip is not until may, you might want to wait a while before choosing a photo editing app. There could be a significant new app that becomes available between now and then that would interest you. Just sayin'...

At only $1.99 you can try this one out and still buy a new one if something better comes along. Also, there is a junior version that is free.

I haven't had photo toaster long but so far I like it. I also have Best Album which is a good app for uploading to Picasa and viewing albums.

edit 1/19: forget Best Album as experience now shows that it often doesn't upload all pictures selected and even uploads original shots rather than the saved edits.

Sarah,

I just finished reading a review on some apps, as I am in the market for this type of app myself. I found a UK magizine that reviewed four apps. The one they recommended for the "serious" photographer was Firestorm Pro. The other apps were Snapseed, PhotoForge2 and iDarkroom HD. PhotoForge2 also scored high, while the other two were meant for basic editing.

http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/photoforge2/id435789422?mt=8

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/adobe-photoshop-touch/id495716481?mt=8

The reviews were in the "iPad and iPhone User" magazine, issue 60. I got the mag, because they were reviewing the new iPad.

One thing I did notice after the review was they mentioned Photoshop Touch, which was just being released when the magizine was printed. They posted lots of screen shots, but had not fully reviewed it yet.

Lightroom is great for image management and basic edits. I try to do as much as I can in Lightroom. For the average user, I think Lightroom will be enough for managing and editing their photos. However, if you really want to get into serious digital manipulation of the image, you're eventually going to need something like Photoshop. At least Photoshop Elements.
