Did anyone else notice...
That the Traveler's Helpline was down for several hours today? Or maybe I was the only one whose access was blocked (paranoia creeping in). Anyway, I don't usually have an interest in posting during the day, but I like to check this site after I check my email. What are the signs of TH addiction? What are the side effects?

My entire internet connection quit a few minutes ago, affecting not only the HelpLine but everything else. I was also listening to streaming audio (radio station) and that quit as well, so I knew it wasn't only the HelpLine.
Tech's usually do Server maintenance in the "wee hours", so for the system to "go down" in the middle of the day was unusual.
In this neck of the woods I was unable to get on to the site for a couple of days over the weekend. Said it was down for maintenance. But I can see from the posts that others did not have the same problem! So what gives?
There have been plenty times recently when I have had to wait for it to come up. Then again I'm usually on at unsociable hours.
Did I notice? D'uh!!!!
Been clicking every few minutes . . . whew, now I can breathe a sigh of relief :-)

No, it was down for me too, for several hours yesterday and a couple of other brief times. Yes, I'm addicted too!
It happened to me to, I can't remember the exact time but it was definitely between 3:00 and 4:00 pm. It shut me out, but I couldn't tell you for how long because I got busy doing other things.
Sounds like some people are late paying their dues and are trying to alibi.
I had problem this morning (Tuesday) around 7am as well. Not sure how long it was down as I went about doing other things and just came back now 10am.
I can't imagine that such a high tech board as this one would have any maintenance issues.
It was down for me last night. I only checked it once, because I'm not THAT addicted. Sure. Anyway, obviously no problem getting on this morning.

Hi. I could access everything on RS wesbite except TH so that must have been what they were working on.
I haven't been on this site very long but already addicted. Stayed up til 3:30 am the other night reading lots of posts. Had no idea what time it was till I looked at the clock (4 hours after starting reading), what's that all about!?
It wasn't that it was down, but I constantly got an error message whenever I tried to access the TH. I could still access the homepage and the Graffiti wall, just not the Helpline. It was doing that right up until the time I turned off my computer, about 10:00 Mntn time. I've notice some threads with postings during that time, so some people were getting on. I now wonder if I just should have deleted cookies.
Darn tootin' I noticed.
Sometimes when I try to access the Helpline, it takes forever to load and never makes it. The other links on the site seem to work fine. Has anyone else had this problem?
yes i noticed!!! it was down on my laptop at home, AND my computer at work! i kept getting emails that i was getting replies to my posts, and i didn't understand why apparently other people were able to access it when i couldn't!
Monday morning I had difficulties getting on but kept trying every so often (every 5 or 10 minutes). Hmmm, every 5 or 10 minutes? I guess that shows an addiction! I start my day with my coffee and the Helpline, usually about 5am Pacific Time. Yep, definitely can't start the day without all of you!
I have occasionally had problems as well... the rest of the site works but not the Helpline.... figured maybe I was voted off the island....
The Helpline was down for me for quite a while.
I posted a request about it on Facebook and rather than answering it, they just removed it! Seems like when they are going to work on the website, that some kind of notice would be nice to have, so that people don't think their computer or connection are on the blink.
I occasionally notice that I can't get in to the helpline. They seem to do a pretty good job getting it back up, so I just try back later.
