What are you hoping to do during those 6 days? Also, what time of year? And will you have a car? That will affect the responses.

Happy travels.

We will be arriving in Tuscany from Lake Como, by train then picking up a car in Modena. We will have a car for the remainder of the trip. We are looking for a little, beautiful hill town, with a nice B&B, and a good base for every other day trips to interesting places. We have eliminated Montalchino, Castiglione Fiorentino, Chianti in general as we've experienced it. Big cities are not our goal on this trip. Great interest in wonderful food, personal contacts with locals (we speak fault filled beginner Italian), enjoy wine.

@Michael, she noted May. Loved staying here:Bed & Breakfast Palazzo Palesa
Via Carducci 33, Celle - 53040 San Casciano dei Bagni (Italy)
Small town. Still think of the wonderful soup and pasta I devoured with friends in nearby Radicofani at La Grotta. Lovely hill towns. Hour and a half from Florence.
