Does air fare get cheapter?
Hi,
I'm flying from Washington DC to Paris May 24, 2012, trains to Italy, and then flying from Rome to DC on June 4. Current air fare is $1400. Is that the best I'm going to get or if I wait will it go down?

Nobody knows. If they did, everyone would wait. It is a dice roll. June is peak summer travel so the need for discount is less than in April or October. If you wait, it could go up.

Which is your preferred airport? I'm finding $1400 out of BWI or $1250-ish out of Dulles, and those fares include a connection in Toronto.
nobody knows. there may not be a decrease until after summer, there could be another increase...

Do you have any flexibility with your dates? If you do, you might find a lower price by departing earlier. Prices go up sometime in the late May time period. For example, this same itinerary departing on May 17th is about $900.
